PHS team leaving Edinburgh

We left Edinburgh on Saturday 1st June and headed out to Malawi via France and Kenya.  After delayed flights and running through airports we finally made it to Malawi.  We arrived at Chileka International airport and were met by our guide Ozzie who will be with us throughout the trip.

When we left the airport, the headteacher Mr Nyambalo and some other members of staff from Namadzi were waiting to greet us.  It was a real pleasure to receive such a warm welcome.  We left the airport and headed to Zomba via Blantyre shopping centre as none of our cases had arrived 🙁 We are staying at Annie’s Lodge in Zomba and had a nice lunch(Chambo – local Malawian fish) and then went for a walk in the botanic gardens across from the hotel. We were all pretty tired and after our travel and after dinner headed for an early night.
